First of all I would like to commend you for a very well written analysis but I have to disagree you on that. Americans are just good at American football and not in soccer. That is why you can see youth football helmets being carried by a lot of kids because that is where they could excel.

Hey bud, thank you for your service. Yes, I served in the US Army as well and yes the pay sucks. I would like to make a small donation. How about this; you learn a little more about the injustice of the don’t ask don’t tell law and I will contribute some bucks. First of all, believe me, I aint’ no tree hugging, screaming liberal. Make no mistake however, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is nothing but sugar-coated discrimination. Google the names Major Mike Almy, USAF; Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenback, USAF; LT Jenny Kopstein, USN; SSG Eric Alva, USMC; SPC Alex Nicholson, USA; Col. Grete Cammermeyer, WA National Guard; those are actual servicemembers who didn’t tell but nonetheless suffered under the current policy. You can find more information about the victims of DADT at http://www.sldn.org and http://www.servicemembersunited.org. It is worth mentioning that out gays and lesbians currently serve as police officers, fighterfighters, Defense Contractors, Civilian Employees of the DOD, FBI, CIA and Secret Service Agents. In most cases they behave professionally and not flamboyantly or inappropriately. The US Military will be no different. In the words of the late US Senator Barry Goldwater “you don’t have to be straight just shoot straight to serve in the military.”
